Brazilian Portuguese

Adriana was born in São Paulo, but has lived in different states in Brazil. She currently lives in Porto Alegre, in an urban community house with friends. She has worked for many years teaching English and Portuguese in various settings. She has a Masters in Linguistics from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), when she researched about vowel differences between English and Portuguese.

She has worked teaching Portuguese one-to-one to former foreign colleagues and at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) Portuguese for Foreigners’ programme. She’s passionate about regional literature and music.
