Beginners Level 3 is the third stage of our Beginners course. To join this level, you must have taken our Beginners Level 2 course or have taken a level test with us and been placed at this level.

Mariana Almeida

Mariana is a teacher of Portuguese for foreigners and English, as well as a translator, proofreader, editor and author of teaching materials. She has experience as an examiner for CELPE-Bras (the official proficiency exam in Portuguese for foreigners) and volunteered in the Nossa Casa project at the Federal University of ABC (Brazil), which offers Portuguese language courses for refugees.

Mariana has a Bachelor’s degree in Languages (Portuguese/English) and Administration, and holds a master’s degree and a PhD in Human and Social Sciences from the Federal University of ABC (UFABC, Brazil). She also has experience as a university professor, teaching subjects in Communication, Languages and Translation Studies.

She enjoys working with adult learners from different countries and supporting them in building confidence and fluency in Portuguese.
